We knew “Surfs Up Joker” was coming, but they also revealed Batgirl and a deluxe Batman set of Batman with alternate Bruce Wayne/Adam West head, bat-computer, bat shark repellent and more! Also a full sized prop 66 Cowl!

Daniel Pickett
Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website www.ActionFigureInsider.com. Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on MSNBC.com, Time.com, The Wall Street Journal, The Saturday Evening Post, CNN.com, AssociatedPress.com Wired.com, Fark.com, Boing-Boing, Gizmodo.com, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows. But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.

    Batgirl and Batcomputer? awesome!

  • Tom says:

So happy to FINALLY see a Yvonne Craig Batgirl in this line – it looks like the card says she’s part of a multipack at srp $49.99? Any idea who else is in that multipack? Looks like the standard Batman next to her may be part of it… :/

  • demoncat_4 says:

would have rather batgirl be coming with her bike. but at least she is coming. plus who ever thought one would be able to have their own bat shark replant as a assessory for a batman figure. plus love that batcomputer coming in the pack. yes batgirl is not being neglected for the batman tv line. other wise Yvon craig might as well have continued to not okay her license for any thing . if batgirl was going to be neglected including toy wise.

Wish they had shown some new villains like Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter, King Tut, and Bookworm. Will these ever show up? Come on Mattel.

  • Rainbow Kitty says:

So happy to see batgirl!! Does anyone know a release date?? Wish we had seen some more Villans.. Egghead, Mad hatter, King Tut, Mr. Freeze!! All would be awesome additions!!

  • Mike B says:

Once again – Mattel can’t get it right!!!!! Batgirl will come in a three pack – with Batman and Robin. Can’t get her on a card by herself – I don’t know why I am surprised – they couldn’t even put Robin on his own card!!!!!! Why do they have to be so f__king retarded???????

  • Mike B says:

Figures Toy Company has done a much better job on these figures – and they will be doing figures for Egghead, Mad Hatter, King Tut, Mr. Freeze, Bookworm and Shame. They have already done Batman, Robin, Joker and Riddler – and the second series will have Penguin, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson and Egghead. I pre-ordered them – can’t wait to see them!!!!!!!

  • Lou Sz says:

There are some easy additions to this line – Catwoman with black hair (Lee Meriwether version), John Astin Riddler (mustache, hair, mask), Boxing Batman (surf’s up Batman with different hands), Boxing Riddler (Riddler/Joker hybrid), Shark Attack Batman with shark and rope ladder and Batshark repellent, oh and the Contaminated Cowl (Pink Cowl) Batman version – even I made one of those.
