AFi Imaginext Week Day 3 – Martian Manhunter and Plastic Man 2-pack!
November 27, 2013

Day 3 of our week of exclusive Imaginext reveals brings us a sweet 2-pack of DC characters that are sure to beef up your Justice League line up – J’onn J’onzz the Martian Manhunter and old Eel O’Brian himself – Plastic Man!   Both of these characters are brand new to the line.

But before we get to the pictures lets look a bit of history with DC Comics characters in the Imaginext line via the Wikipeda entry:

Part 1

One of the most popular worlds is DCSuper Friends, based on the 1970s and 1980s TV series of a similar name. This world has 27 sets (not including exclusives): Batcave, Planet Oa, Motorized Batmobile, Joker‘s Fun House, Batwing, Batboat, Batcopter, Batmobile, Green Lantern Jet, Riddler Car, Clayface, Batmobile with Lights, Penguin Sub, K. Croc, Hawkman & Flash, Two-Face, The Riddler, Robin Cycle, Batcycle, Arctic Batman, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, The Joker, Superman, and Batman.[5] A Gotham Jail, Bat-Jetpack, New Motorized Batmobile, and a new Joker Tank, are planned to be released in summer and late spring.[year needed]

In May 2008, DC Comics produced an ongoing comic book series based on the toyline.

This awesome 2 pack will be a Target exclusive.  The Plastic Man is 100% flexible PVC. First time ever in Imaginext.

Thank you to the Imaginext team for letting us do this week of reveals!

Daniel Pickett
Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on,,, Boing-Boing,, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows. But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.

I sold online an imaginext riddler bi plane and boat. I beleive this was a toys r us exclusive. I have never seen this again nor on fisher price website. Im guessing this is extremely rare . Could you guys at afi find any info on this???

    • Rick Johnson says:

@Jevon…yes, the Riddler biplane is one of the ‘rarer’ pieces. When it shows up on ebay it can often snag $100 or more.

I’m looking for the Target exclusive of Martian Manhunter and Plastic Man. They don’t have it on their site, nor does Fisher Price. I found a set that sold on ebay. Any ideas where else to look and how much it’ll cost me? Thanks.
