CYBORG
The Titanium Titan

ORIGIN

Victor Stone was helping his parents explore trans-dimensional warps at S.T.A.R. Labs when an extraterrestrial creature came through the warp they were testing. Killing his mother and severely wounding Victor, the creature was banished by his father, who then replaced Victor's damaged body parts with cybernetic replacements. These new parts gave Victor super strength and agility, which he then used to join the Teen Titans and fight crime.

FIGURE STATS

Cyborg comes with three hand attachments that can be put on his arm to simulate transforming parts. The hands are a normal hand, a drill hand, and a claw/wrench hand. When his legs are squeezed together, Cyborg waves his wacky hands all around.

COMMENTS

Easily the prize of the Super Powers collection, Cyborg saw very limited release after the cancellation of the line. In addition to his scarcity, Cyborg is also the only Black character in the line and one of the only vac-metallized ones. In 1989, Pacipa released a Cyborg figure in their Super Amigos line, but it is inferior to the Super Powers version due to low grade plastic and cheap paints that flake off. Amazingly, Cyborg has already gotten a second figure in the Dc Direct line, and a third one is possible as a tie-in to the Teen Titans' cartoon.
