Last summer at the San Diego Comic Con International Hasbro finally made the announcement that I had been waiting for: a 3-3/4" Marvel Universe line. As a big fan of the 3-3/4" scale (there’s nothing better in my book) I was hoping Hasbro would go this route with the Marvel license. The announcement was…

Yes, this is yet another blog entry about Mattel’s soon (but not soon enough) to be released Infinite Heroes toyline. Back in the early 1990’s Al Gore introduced some legislation about what he termed the Information Superhighway, otherwise known as the Internet, leading to his supposed claim of inventing the internet. The number 52 has had much significance in the DC Universe lately. The weekly comic book series entitled 52 ran from mid-2006 through mid-2007, and ended with there existing 52 separate universes within the DC multiverse. However for DC action figure fans, it appears that 54 is a pretty important number, too.

Doctor Who returns (at last) to American television tonight (Sci Fi Channel, 8:30pm) with the US broadcast premiere of the Voyage of the Damned (2007 Christmas Special). Series 4 officially begins on the following Friday. This year we are only a few weeks behind the original UK airdates, which is awesome.

Three years. I realize three years isn’t the longest stretch of time, but it’s still hard to believe this place called Action Figure Insider has already been on the Interwebs for three years. It’s been a blast being a part of the crew here, and in many ways a dream come true. I first met…

I remember Toy Fair 2007. It was a pretty lackluster showing. For me, at least. I’d wager it was the same for many collectors going by comments I read here at AFI and elsewhere during and after the event. To use an overused Interwebs parlance, it was pretty "meh". Toy Fair 2008, however, was a…
