Batman Releases Tomorrow … the new Batman HeroClix set that is
November 13, 2012

The boxes have shipped to stores.  Some to homes.  Some have been opened and the set has been ‘spoiled’ with pictures and stats of what the new pieces can do.  I’m talking about the new release of HeroClix, named “Batman”.

At comic and gaming shops across the land, folks will be buying and playing the new pieces in tournaments.  There are probably some being held this evening if they can sell product at the stroke of midnight.

So who is in the set?

(Batman in multiple versions and Bruce Wayne)

Batman Family

(Nightwing, Red Robin, Robin, Batgirl, Alfred)

Classic Batman villains

(Joker, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, TwoFace, Dr Phosphorus)

Batman Incorporated heroes.

(Mr. Unknown, Nightrunner, Batwing, Black Bat, El Gaucho)

The Outsiders.

(Black Lightning, Geo-Force, Metamorpho, Katana, Halo)

Justice League International (JL and JLDark were in the JL set).

(Booster Gold, August General in Iron, Godiva, Rocket Red)

(Grifter, Maul, Zealot, Voodoo)

And Vehicles.  For the first time, the game will have vehicles which can transport your pieces across the board and soften up the opposition army.

(Batmobile, Invisible Jet, the Bug, the Haunted Tank)

This is just a sampling of what is in the set.  There are 54 pieces in the main set, plus 10 in a subset, and a Fast Forces pack with 6 more, plus 5 chase pieces and 7 vehicles.  The excitement is building.  The wait is almost over. Tomorrow they should be at your favorite comic and gaming stores.

Erik "Superfriend" Skov
"Gathered together from the four corners of the universe." Oh, wait, that's the show, not me. Erik "SuperFriend" Skov never actually got to appear on the show, although he did watch it every week. Erik spent 6 years working for Hasbro in Pawtucket, RI before leaving for a job that paid more (Why else would a collector leave the company that was making Star Wars, Transformers, and while I was there Batman). I used to post all over the net. These days I tend to hang my hat at AFI.
