Thinking of ways to maximize my display space

I don't have a ton of space to display my toys (even if I did, I still don't think there would be enough space to properly display it all), so I'm always thinking of ways to maximize what space I have.

I have a lot of MOC figures now (thanks to the Vintage SW line). What I want to do is make a setup like the peg system in a store so that I can put several MOC figures on one peg. I won't be able to see them all at once, but I think it would be fun to look through them like we do at a store.

At Toy Fair, NECA had some paneling that you could fit the metal rods into. Has anyone attempted a set up like this? Best way to go about it? Can you buy those rods outside of a store closing sale?
