For the life of me I don't get why someone would want their home to look like a department store. Anyhow. You can get pegboard and mounting hardware at places like Lowes or Home Depot. They also sell pegs, hooks, etc. usually in a variety pack, for people to hang tools and stuff on. Sears hardware used to carry them too. Not sure if you'll find the long pegs you are looking for there but I bet you could order them online if not. Good luck.
