How far our modern Star Wars figure collections have come. Even an optimistic fan of the cantina characters didn’t have high hopes for getting a figure of Leesub Sirln, a.k.a. Weird Girl. But she is a part of our bar scenes now. According to her cardback bio Leesub is hiding from Imperial authorities that suspect her of having precognitive powers (Imperial speak for Force adept). I guess that explains why this lovely lady was braving the most wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I had a text message exchange with my buddy, xrmc20, the other day. It went like this:

xrmc20: Do u need sw leesub sirin?
CantinaDan: Got her, thx! She was originally just called "Weird Girl".
xrmc20: She certainly is weird.
CantinaDan: If you were in the cantina would you have hit on her?
xrmc20: Considering the choices, I probably would. You know Han gave it a shot.

Well, xrmc20 was on the money. We’ve uncovered proof documenting the encounter:

Its true, Han didn’t have too many choices. We don’t know what ever happened between him and Jenny. (There is indisputable proof of those two being an item.) The Tonnika sisters where occupied in conversation with Wuher the barkeep. Swilla Corey had crazy eyes. And the rest? Just not Han’s type.

Cantina Ladies
top row: Dice Ibegon, Jenny, Kitik Keed’kak, Little Aunt Beru,
bottom row: Swilla Corey, M’ilyoom Onith, Senni Tonnika, Brea Tonnika

And so that left Leesub Sirln. You just have to look past that noggin.

Since all this was probably only entertaining to this blog’s author I’ll try and offset it with something actually funny. If you’ve never seen Richard Pryor’s Saturday Night Live Star Bar skit its worth a viewing.
