I have vintage 80′s G.I. Joe figures with better paint and details. These are bad, I love Voltron too, hell I am subscribing to this very line, but I’m not going to be blinded by fanboyism to how cheap the pilot figs are. You get a clue or at least get your head out of the sand.

These 3.75 figs are terrible. Their elbows and knees barely bend in the right direction and bend way more in the wrong direction. The paint is sloppy, the sculpts on the faces are soft and mushy and lacking in detail. They look and feel cheap. At 15 bucks with no accessories other than another head, they are a total rip off. Don’t suck off Matty just to get free toys. These toys are garbage.

These things are far from shinning examples of what good figures should look like. The reason why they are not on toy shelves is because hardly anybody would buy them at full price. They would just end up on the clearance shelves at Toys R’ Us.

If you honestly think that these are good figures, then I suggest you broaden our horizons.

I remember watching Mazinger Z and Battle of the Planets as a young kid, but by the time Voltron showed up I was in my teens and missed it. Even so, I can feel the rush of nostalgia with each new release Mattel gives us. What an awesome labor of love this turned out to be.
