Seriously, how cool is this guy? I stumbled upon him today and felt it should be shared just for the coolness factor.
Sometime soon I’ll do a big Secret Wars writeup, because the information on the web is sorely lacking…there’s a lot more to this line than people know.

I love that he has a completely inappropriate-to-character laser pistol, which is totally in keeping with the doesn’t-always-make-that-much-sense aesthetic of the Secret Wars line.
This may be relevent or it may not, but here it is.
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about the new Mattel DCUC and MOTU figures, basically singing their praises, great character selection, great scuplts, great color, true to the characters, blah blah blah, and he says something about the one downside being all the re-used parts, but they he completely understands why its necessary as far as maximizing profits and whatever. And I mention how a line like Secret Wars re-used parts right and left for the entire line, whereas in the contemporary Super Powers line, every arm, leg, torso, head, and accessory was a unique piece – or at least as far as I can tell. And that kind of blew my mind.
Very nice custom indeed. Without looking into the recipe, it looks to me as a Secret Wars Daredevil head with Baron Zemo body, and JLU Dr. Fate cape. Nicely done, I must admit.
Secret Wars figures do have a potential for cistomizing, I’ve done some myself.
Very cool. I miss that line. I never collected Super Powers as a kid cause I was a HUGE Marvel fan. So Secret Wars was my thing. I was so sad when the lined died. Still never got the last europen wave.
Please do a write up, I’d love to know more about this line. There is so little info out there.
You know seeing this figure really makes me wish we had a Marvel version of the JLU line. Simple 5 points of articulation with a cartoony look in a neutral pose. Now I dislike the upcoming Wolverine and the Xmen cartoon line even more.
Love it! I had most of the Secret Wars line up back in the day! Not only did the good doctor, not need a laser gun, but why did he need a shield? For that matter, he never appeared in the actual Secret Wars series, I don’t believe, but neither did Baron Zemo!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a detailed resource on Secret Wars!
Great custom job, it fits in very easily with the rest of the line. I would have picked up Doc if he had been produced. One of my favorite Marvel characters ever.

I would have been all over that figure! The Secret Wars line was awesome. It’s too bad it didn’t last a bit longer.
That would have been one of my favorites!

That’ Howard Hallis’ custom Dr. Strange. He’s a Dr. Strange collector. I think he’s done some Custom Con stuff.
Secret Wars had so much potential. Great find. Ugh. I want one now. LOL

My very first custom (in 1989!) was turning a SW Captain America into Deathstroke. I think the enamel paints I used art STILL sticky.
