I am a hard core boardgame nut. I have so many board games and I would recomend:

Ticket to Ride
Powergrid
Pureto Rico
Last Night on Earth
Settlers of Catan
Citadels
Stone Age
Ninja Burger
Family Business
Dominion
Pirates Cove
Kingsburg

These are just a few examples of some of the games that you can find if you branch out and go to your local game store. Most of the list I put on there are games that take between 45 min to 3 hours. I have spent many a late night with friends playing the above games. I would also recomend as stated above going to boardgamegeek.com to see some of the games out there and see how people rate them.
