One of my favorite lines going right now is Hasbro’s Marvel Universe. Marvel characters in my favorite scale. Doesn’t get much better than that.

So, it is with great anticipation that I look forward to what David Vonner and the rest of the intrepid Marvel Universe team is going to unveil at Toy Fair 2012. I’m trying to manage expectations, ‘though. If memory serves, there hasn’t been very much shown at Toy Fair the past couple of years, with a much bigger splash coming in the summer at Comic Con. However, there’s bound to be a few surprises. But, what? There’s not much left on my original Top 11 list originally posted back in 2009:

1. Cable
2. Apocalypse
3. Nighthawk
4. Man-Thing
5. Planet Hulk
6. Nova
7. Doctor Strange
8. Captain Marvel
9. High Evolutionary
10. Bug from Micronauts.
11. Stegron the Dinosaur Man

So far we’ve gotten Cable, Apocalypse, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. Nova and Nighthawk are both on the way this year. So that leaves Man-Thing, Planet Hulk (we got close with World War Hulk, but I want the helmet and shield version, too!), High Evolutionary, Bug and Stegron.

Beyond, those…wow. I don’t even know where to go or who to hope for. I’m more partial to character’s classic looks (like the recent Iron Fist/Power Man 2 pack…awesome!). I am hoping we’ll see a classic Nova at some point. The modern one is extremely cool, but Richard Ryder’s classic costume is what is near and dear to my heart. Nova #1 was my first comic that I started with the first issue.

And, I’ll take as many Thor variants as they’ll throw at us (to make up for a lack of a Thor movie line Comic Series). I’d love the Simsonson armored Thor, and the Lord of Asgard Thor most of all.

There’s so much they can do. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2012 and Marvel Universe!
