10$.  What did it get me this week?  It got me a box in the mail.  A box from eBay.  What was in the box?  Read on.

Two bags of air.  Kidding.  Well, they were in there.

And another box.  That’s right, I bought a box.  A special box.  Alex Ross artwork of the Justice League.  Featuring members of all eras up to the point it was created.  Special for the Upper Deck VS System collectible card game.  And it came sealed with the plastic wrap intact, so I knew it was complete.   If you’ve been following my blogs, you know I recently got into the VS System game.  As a JLA fan, this box was a double bonus.  But it doesn’t stop there.

The VS box contains a bunch of cool stuff for JLA fans and VS collectors as well.  4 Collector Tins.  If you line them up, the art matches the the art on the box.  The box is cool.  The tins are Very cool.

Also included are 4 special cards for the game.  And 4 booster packs of standard cards for the game from the JLA set.  At 14 cards per booster, that is 4 x 14 = 56 cards.  (Interestingly enough, if you add the 4 special cards you get 60, the number you need to build a deck for standard play.)

Below is a typical booster of cards.  10 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 rare.

The only disappointing thing is that I had planned on taking the tins out and using the box to store my cards in.  That would work, but there is a spacing tray which holds the tins and other contents in place.  It is completely black and did not photograph in detail.  But now in order to store the cards I have to remove the tray.  The tray, if not stored with the box, would eventually be lost over time.  I just know it.

Cost?
$4.33  for item.
$5.42  shipping and handling.
=====
$9.75 Total, within the 10$ budget.

Rating: Overall, an awesome piece to have.  Just doesn’t do everything I expected it would.   I should note that there are also Avengers, Infinite Crisis, and Galactus boxed tin sets for the VS System and a few single tins as well.  And yes, I did think of using this or another one to store both my HeroClix cards and my OverPower cards.
