Eh does it really matter what wave she ships in? She’s coming one way or another. It’s not like DC Direct isn’t going to ship her based on the performance of the first wave. These are usually ordered by Comic Book stores and speciality retailers so they know what’s going on. People will be able to pre-order her from Diamond months in advance. It’s not like if Wave 1 “clogs the pegs” is going to prevent Wave 2 from coming out.

I know that personally I don’t have much connection with Mera outside of Blackest night, so I’m looking forward to the Red Lantern one much more than the Brightest Day one. I imagine other younger readers feel the same way as well.

I know we got Dr. Light and Boonmer Jr (both now DOA), but no Digger, yet?

yeah, that sucks, but there is a certain logic to that.
still, I head expected the two couple to be together (and Ollie with the Hawks!)

I think Deadman and Aquaman are the only two I’ll be passing on.
I have the DCUC Boston, but would have picked up Boston/ALIVEman for sure. Aquaman I have several already, from both lines. the others have something unique that hasn’t been done before, or I just don’t have them (the ladies; I passed on all Hawkgirls since original DCD 2pk, so shelf is lacking, never saw DCUC HG)

I was kind of hoping that Captain Boomerang would have been in wave 1 or 2.

I’ve always wondered why DC Direct didn’t put out a Suicide Squad set years ago. Would have been really cool.

even though she really should be wave one. fans should be happy Dc direct finaly listen and did Mera besides it will be the main reason for wave two as for how many more waves. the third wave no doubt will finish off who the white latern resurrected mainly hawk and dove. max lord . jade and orisis and zoom finishing off the resurrected ones. though those who can not wait for Mera in brightest day can always get red lantern one. me i am only picking up hawk girl and Mera.

I suspect that she is in the 2nd wave because they want to space out the Meras a bit since we are also getting a Red Lantern Mera towards the end of this year. I know that’s not the exact same thing, but I imagine that is part of their thinking.

They don’t want to over saturate the Mera Market.

Splitting the couples actually does make some sense. People who are only interested in one subgroup of the DCU are then forced to make two separate trips to the store, which is likely to increase overall sales.

it is kind of strange that they aren’t releasing Aquaman and Mera together. And why split up the Hawks? But yeah, at least they’re getting made at all, right?

Well, to be honest, I never bought a Martian Manhunter or a Jason Rusch Firestorm. I like this version of MM. I could see myself buying it. And if this is what Firestorm looks like now, I might buy that one too.

well if u look at the first picture they released, the waves are pretty obvious, 4 and 4, but i agree, i would think the first wave should have been Hawkman, J’onn, Firestorm (who looks colored wrong) and Mera.

Totally agree. Mera is the only figure i don’t already have in a 7/8 inch. i’ll be passing on all the rest. i already have 2 aquamans, 2 green arrows etc
