Batman: Under the Red Hood, the latest release in the WB/DC Comics animated movies was released on Tuesday this week.
I honestly forgot until yesterday. Popping into Target, they had no copies of the basic or 2 disc versions left. Best Buy is down the street, so I went there next. Best Buy also had very few copies left. But I was more interested in the other items I saw…
Batman the Animated Series season 1 – 20$.
Batman Beyond seasons 1 or 2 or 3 – 15$ each.
Birds of Prey the entire series – 20$.
and that was just the beginning.
Frequent readers know I am always on the lookout for a bargain. Today’s was Batman Beyond season 2. I have no idea why the Batman Beyond series is packaged this way, but Season 1 has 13 episodes, season 2 has 26 episodes, and season 3 has 13 episodes. As a result, "season 2" is usually crazy expensive compared to the others even when there is a sale. But not today. Today it was 15$ just like the other 2. So, I now own season 2 of Batman Beyond.

Dude, In the past couple of months, I bought the first season of Airwolf for $7.00, the first season of Burn Notice for $7.00, and the complete run of Buck Rogers for $15.00. All at Wal-Mart.

just heard the other day that Batman Beyond box set is coming soon. like $99, tho with a couple extras and booklet.
Wow. Too rich for my tastes. So far I’ve landed seasons 2 and 3 for a total of 25$. Maybe this will cause a few folks to dump their individual season sets and I can pick up season 1 used for a deal!
Was planning on going to best Buy anyway to pick up Batman: Under the Red Hood (single disc version). Went Saturday & picked it up, along with the three seasons of Batman Beyond (yes, $15 each) and picked up Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths for $12.99 as well. I would’ve bought Superman: Doomsday too if it was available. Good trip at Best Buy nonetheless.
How long does the sale last for? I was going to pick up BB season 2, but balked at the sticker price. I had no idea they were on sale…
I think it was just last week. New movies go on sale on Tuesday, so the sale might have started Tuesday, so maybe still on today, but I would call ahead.
Looks like just this past weekend, although checking on their Web site, Season 3 is still on sale for $15.
