2006 SDCC.  I was struck by certain figures.  Nemesis.  Sand.  Aquaman with two hands.  How had Mattel decided on such odd choices.  Then I remembered the we, the fans, knowing the policy of reusing parts in JLU, had actively discussed Nemesis and Sand as ways to reuse Lex Luthor’s holster.  Mattel had confused discussion with desire.  Aquaman with two hands was an item frequently requested.  But in this case, we were using the "with two hands" to refer to the classic Aquaman as seen in one episode of Superman TAS.  Mattel had given us what we asked for, just misinterpreted.  So I set out to make sure Mattel knew what we, the collective collector wanted most.

Poll 1 – Fall 2006.

Skipping characters we knew Mattel could not make, top and high scoring characters included Male Heroes:#1=Hawkman, #3=Mr. Miracle, Female Heroes: Fire=#1, Ice=#2, Male Villains: Grodd=#1.  All of these have now been made.

Poll 2 – Spring 2007.
