The Han Snowlo Project: part II.

So I started this goofy experiment in my last blog entry.  Over the course of Thursday through Sunday, I tracked the rate of snowfall using a broomstick and my son’s Han Solo.

You can see the progress of the snow below, along with the anguished plastic cries of the non-carbonite frozen Corellian.

Thursday, 8:00pm

Friday, 12:30am - 3" of snow

Friday, 7:45am - 6" of snow

Friday, 2:00pm - 8" of snow

Friday, 7:00pm - 10" of snow

Saturday, 12:00pm - 13" of snow

Sunday, 1:00pm - 17" of snow

So there it is.  The final count for the Han Snowlo Project was 17″, but that total is deceiving, as that location by the tree had a constant flow of wind, plus some of the snow had settled by Sunday…nearby areas had close to 20″, with drifts higher than two feet.  Some areas near Denver received over three feet. And we had another 3″ fall last night. Crazy!

So look for the next goofy toy-related science experiment during the next Colorado snowstorm!

…and I just realized that Han Solo is still strapped to the broomstick out there…
