Channel Your Inner Thrall
February 22, 2012

Hey! Have you heard that Mega Bloks will be producing sets based upon the super-successful MMO World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment? Yeah, I may have mentioned it once or twice, or more ’round these parts.

Well, our friends at Mega Bloks are running a contest to rev up the buzz before the sets are released to retail. The contest is called Channel Your Inner Thrall.  Thrall, of course, is the iconic orc…former Warchief and current shaman and one of the most popular characters in the Warcraft universe. To enter all you need to do is go to the website (using either the link or the image above) and upload a pic of yourself either a) posing with Thrall, b) posing like Thrall, or c) posing as Thrall.

What can you win? Only the larger than life Doomhammer comprised entirely of Mega Bloks! This thing is AWESOME and would be the prize of any World of Warcraft fan’s collection. If you’ve seen pictures of the huge Thrall statue built from Mega Bloks that stood outside the Mega Bloks showroom at Toy Fair, then you’ve seen the mighty Doomhammer.

So, what are you waiting for? Take a picture of yourself, submit it and get all your friends to vote for you! The contest ends on February 29th, so time is running out!

And, speaking of World of Warcraft Mega Bloks, online retailer Toy Wiz has posted pre-orders for the first wave which gives us some more specific information as to what sets are coming. They list:

  • Human Paladin Faction Pack
  • Night Elf Hunter Faction Pack
  • Orc Warrior Faction Pack
  • Blood Elf Priest Faction Pack
  • Gnome Rogue with Flying Machine
  • Goblin Warrior with Goblin Trike
  • Tauren Hunter with Swift Wyvern
  • Worgen Death Knight with Swift Gryphon
  • Barren Lands Chase
  • Arthas & Sindragosa
  • Seige Engine Attack
  • Goblin Zeppelin
  • Deathwing’s Stormwind Assault

Sounds like awesome stuff! Now, until this is all confirmed with Mega Bloks, take it with a grain of salt. And things can always change before release, but for now it’s a good indicator of what’s to come.

I can’t wait to get a better look at these…and, moreso, to have them!
