In the final push for the 2014 Subs to fund Mattel was able to reveal one more figure for the 2014 DC Club Infinite Earths subcription today.  That brings the number of revealed figures up to five: with (Damian Wayne) Robin,  (Hook Hand) Aquaman, Ice, (Connor Kent) Superboy and Doomsday.

Toy Fans,

We’ve been waiting patiently while all the logistics were worked out, and now we can finally spill some news about the 2014 DCU subscription! Because you demanded it, Club Infinite Earths has added Damian Wayne to the 2014 lineup!

If the sub goes forward, the cancelled retail figure of Damian Wayne is set to join the most exciting group of figures we’ve ever offered. The son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul is scheduled to be the final figure released for the 2014 sub, joining an amazing lineup that so far includes Doomsday, ‘90s look Aquaman, Ice, and “Conner Kent” Superboy.

But there’s a catch… all of this only happens if the 2014 DCU sub goes forward. We’ve only got until August 19 to make it happen so sign up for a 2014 Club Infinite Earths subscription today!

Daniel Pickett
Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features. He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced. In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s “Pop Candy” Blog twice. Daniel’s content has also been featured on,,, Boing-Boing,, Ain’t It Cool News, the Official Star Wars blog, Geekologie, G4, CNet and Toy Fare magazine, among many others. He has consulted on toy lines, books, documentaries and TV shows. But all of that really just sounds snooty and “tootin’ his own horn” – the long and short of it is that Daniel loves toys and he LOVES talking about them.

I will probably get another sub.I usually get two. This figure would never entice me to reup.I’ld rather get an earth 2 Robin who is actually a DC Classic character, but good for those who want him.

  • demoncat4 says:

hope damien manages to at the last minute save the sub that plus the fact that given how long fans have wanted doomsday done by mattel in a big build a figure normal size. though don’t remember any one ever asking for hook hand aquaman. more doomsday and granny goodness i recall are a few of the most asked for dc characters by fans. not hook hand aquaman

  • Lee in MI says:

Pretty sure there are more than a few fans of Hook Hand Aquaman out there. He’s pretty iconic in that look.

  • Scott says:

I have no interest whatsoever for goofy hook handed aquaman. It was an aweful time for dc comics.I always thought his hook arm should have had that stupid looking armor(how did he move his arm in that anyway?),since he was missing his hand on that side.I did like the way Justice League the animated series rewrote his loss though.Good for those that want it.
