Custom by Swass!
Apache Chief here uses a 12" DCSH Superman as a base. Waxed thread makes for the vest and boot stitches and leather cording makes the headband and the moccasin-tops. The rest is just paint and Magic Sculpt.

Now that is awesome. I want to make an Apache Chief I would have never guessed to use a 12in for the base and it worked out perfect for you! One of those “why didn’t I think of that” moments. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few more of these popped up now that you’ve opened the door. Great job!

what are the vest and tabard made out of: waxed thread? or actual leather?

You blew my mind with this one, Swass. The Chief is tied with IC’s Earth 2 Robin as the highlight of the Showcase, IMHO.
What amazes me the most is how well you translated the animated style into the Four Horseman Universe…specifically the vest, loincloth, wrist wraps, etc. Perfectly detailed, perfectly executed.
I’d only been familiar with your McG-style work up to this point, and had always felt you were one of the best in the world at that style. All of a sudden I realize your skills transcend!
I’m picturing what you would do with an ML-style custom…and drooling!
