Batman: The Animated Series
Batman here was a fun break from all the sculpting and grinding I’ve been doing lately. A simple repaint of the DCUC Detective Batman, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mattel released him like this later on, it’s the perfect Animated Series version, even the belt is almost the same as in those cartoons. I loved that show, I just had to quench the nostalgia.
I popped the head off and made the neck-hole a little wider so the head can pop on and off easily. This way I can remove the cape easily whenever I want. The joints were sealed with super-glue.
I know it’s a simple job, so I made the last picture fun to see, and by "fun" I mean depressing. I make comics with my figures so consider that a "sneak peek".

This is cool–only thing I’d change is add a bright blue vertical stripe down the trunks like in TAS–maybe some highlights the same color on the edges of the cape. Very cool!

I was thinking about it because he does have shiny blue highlights in the cartoon, but I knew I’d regret it later because I’m so finicky! I could do my standard paint-some-tape technique to make the shine removable like I do with Green Lantern Masks.

Very nice! I’m agreeing with Swass! on this one, though. I think adding in some of the blue highlights would REALLY make it obvious that it’s an Animated-inspired design. I honestly didn’t pick up on that until I read the commentary. That said, it’s a great figure no matter what! Love it. Very striking!

Nice, ‘Tails. The Detective Bats head sculpt lends itself nicely to a B:TAS approach.
It looks like you darkened the grey a bit too, yes? Was that a wash, or a full app?

The figure comes with shading right out of the package, I did do another wash though because the gray was still too bright, it’s kinda ridiculous that it looks the same after a flash picture, wash or no wash, hah!
