Red Robin by lesternessman

DCU Batman head, cape and lower legs
DCU Black Manta arms, torso and upper legs

I was going for a cross between Kingdom Come and 52. Starting from the head down, shaved down the Batman head, used Rubber bands for his harness. Cut the pellets off the DCU Batman belt and attached them to the harness. I also used some sliced rubber in between the pellets. The chest emblem was cut from rubber and the robin was sculpted as was the glove tops. The belt came from a 1st series Mattel Batman, the buckle came from an accessory from that same line. I cut some more rubber to make the bottom of his tunic. Painted and sealed. I used the Grapple from the DCU Batman and cut it down to size and added the robin head to the point of the boomerang.

Oh, man–too sharp. That chest emblem is a jaw-dropper. Hope we get to see this cat on the shelves.

You just can’t go wrong with this costume! It’s a great design, and you did it justice! Nice clean work!

Beautiful. I can’t believe you built that harness, it’s so sharp I just assumed it came off of a different figure.
I also really like the mods you did on the head…I don’t know if you added any bulk after you removed the cowl points, but the proportions look better than they did on the Bats figure.

    Another winner, Les!
