Deep in their Dark and Treacherous Swamp

Deep in their dark and treacherous swamp, the Legion of Doom plans its next attack…

On your collection!  Ever since the creators of the SuperFriends put together 13 of the galaxy’s vilest villains, this group has been etched in our minds.  Sure, I admit to having difficulty naming all 13 at once, but that does not diminish the overwhelming feeling of awesomeness when I realize that the group has come together once again.  This time, it is WizKids HeroClix game into which the Legion of Doom invades.

Lex Luthor and Toyman came last year.  Sinestro showed up earlier this year.  But with their latest set, Arkham Asylum, the Legion comes in force with no less than 5 members.  Black Manta.  Bizarro.  Solomon Grundy.  Riddler.  Gorilla Grodd.

Not enough evil for you?  We have White Martians and Dr. Destiny to plague the Justice League.  Per Degaton, Ultra Humanite, and a young Despero join up to be the Time Stealers.  Gotham City is plagued by the likes of Joker, Penguin, Scarface and the Ventriloquist,  Firefly, Mad Hatter, and TwoFace.  The Suicide Squad picks up Count Vertigo and Multiplex.  Scandal Savage of the Secret Six, Plasmus of the Brotherhood of Evil, and Ninja Manbats sneak in.  Zoom and the Top stop by to bother the Flash.  Egg Fu and Circe to hassle Wonder Woman.  Johnny Sorrow and the Thinker to attack the JSA.  From the future comes the Legion of Super Villains – Lightning Lord, Saturn Queen, and Cosmic King.  Sinestro has sent along members of the Sinestro Corps – Amon Sur, Arkillo, Lyssa Drak, (and Yellow Lantern) - plus Manhunter Robots to power them.   And a Sinestro Corps version of none other than Superboy Prime!

I’m sure I forgot a few, and yes, there are heroes in this set.  But this one is all about the villains.  Even the goofy ones.

Stop by to see the full set in their gallery. and be sure to visit for the best fan site devoted to this game.

Erik "Superfriend" Skov
"Gathered together from the four corners of the universe." Oh, wait, that's the show, not me. Erik "SuperFriend" Skov never actually got to appear on the show, although he did watch it every week. Erik spent 6 years working for Hasbro in Pawtucket, RI before leaving for a job that paid more (Why else would a collector leave the company that was making Star Wars, Transformers, and while I was there Batman). I used to post all over the net. These days I tend to hang my hat at AFI.
