DOOMSDAY!!

A Closer look at the upcoming Target JLU 6-pack

The fine folks at Mattel have given us a few pre-Comic Con Sneak Peeks. Even though today is my birthday YOU are getting the present! Last week I had the opportunity to head over to the Mattel compound and see some of the new items that will be on display at Comic Con next week. And, they were kind enough to let me break some news and pictures of the new stuff.

I'm going to start off with the biggest "bang" because I just can't wait for this set! AFI is proud to bring you the exclusive first look at the Target JLU 6-pack that contains Doomsday for the first time appearing in plastic in the animated style!!

The set should show up in stores around September and will be part of a special $20 gift end cap that Target will have going into the holiday buying season. You heard right you get the largest JLU figure and 5 other figures for just $20!

This set includes: Wonder Woman (with clear DC stand) Superman, Batman, Bizarro, Amazo (clear) and DOOMSDAY. The packaging shown is just mock up packaging.

When Boy Wonder took over as line manager for the JLU line he set two goals: to get two BIG villains, Grundy and Doomsday, into the JLU line. He swung for the fences and now fans can pick up Grundy at two of the Summer cons and Doomsday is coming soon to a Target near you for a great price.

Bizarro-

Bizarro is the same as the darker, running change version that showed up in the Target 3-packs last year.

Amazo-

We've had gray Amazo and gold Amazo, and now we get transparent Amazo. It's a little hard to see in these pictures, but his head is translucent as well.

DOOMSDAY-

Doomsday is articulated at the neck (swivel), shoulders, elbows, waist, hips and knees. His jaw is a separate rubber piece from his head, but it is not a point of articulation.

As you can see below... he's BIG. Superman doesn't even come up to his shoulder. He's also wide and heavy like he should be. And with those beady little eyes he just looks mean!

A BIG thank you to the Mattel Crew for letting me come over and shoot these. Keep checking back here for a few other exclusive premiers!
