Carrie Fisher, Tom Felton, Christopher Lloyd, Stephen Amell Top Celebrities At Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans, January 6-8, 2017

CarrieFisher2-333.jpgNEW ORLEANS, November 10, 2016 – Wizard World (OTCBB: WIZD) will open up its 2017 Comic Con tour with a bang in The Big Easy, as Carrie Fisher (Star Wars ), Tom Felton ( Harry Potter franchise), Christopher Lloyd (Back To The Future), Stephen Amell (“Arrow”), Michael Rooker (“The Walking Dead,” Guardians of the Galaxy), Nichelle Nichols (“Star Trek”) and David Ramsey (“Arrow”) are among the all-star cast of celebrities scheduled to appear at Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans, January 6-8, 2017, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The event marks Wizard World’s seventh annual show in New Orleans and the first on Wizard World’s 2017 calendar.

“We are excited to kick off 2017 in a big way in the ‘The Big Easy’ New Orleans with a distinguished group of stars from across many fan bases,” said John Maatta , Wizard World CEO. “Collectively, the celebrities who are joining us in New Orleans are part of some of the most iconic franchises in pop culture history, from Star Wars to ‘Star Trek’ to Back to the Future and more. There will be celebrities from every genre of pop culture.”

Fisher, Felton, Lloyd and Ramsey are scheduled to appear on Saturday and Sunday, January 7-8; Amell will appear on Sunday; the others are scheduled for all three days of the event.

Other stars on the 2017 Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans roster include Michael Cudlitz (“The Walking Dead”), Jewel Staite (Serenity, “Firefly”), Theo Rossi (“Luke Cage,” “Sons of Anarchy”), Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, X-Men), Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy , “Gilmore Girls”), Peter Mayhew (Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back ), Sam Jones (“The Flash,” Ted), Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy”), Joonas Suotamo ( Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens), Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”) and Chris 51 (“Epic Ink”).

New Orleans will also launch an exciting array of activities at Wizard World Comic Con shows in 2017. Fans will experience non-stop live entertainment throughout extended evening hours, Kick off the Con and After Parties, gaming, exclusive Q&A sessions with top celebrities, movie screenings hosted by stars and directors and more. Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since. In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field.
