I thot I'd start peppering this forum with news bits of new Japanese Disney merchandise as and when I see them. I think some people are interested, right? *coughOTTERcough* November release Another thot I had is: would anyone like to see a Tomy Magical Collection archive here? I kinda keep up to date with the stuff because I grab em for Geyer, and I do see some pple who have no idea where to look for resources on them. This is assuming that Tomy doesn't kick my ass if I steal their pics.

Man, those guys are kicking my ass!
I wish they weren't so expensive (and blind boxed!).
Gonna have a new ottertorial soon on some of these japanese Disney toys, kind of a follow up to my old one.
Was at Disneyland yesterday to check out the 50th stuff (park looked better than it has in a loooong time) but no merch could hold a candle to the overseas stuff. The only really neat thing I saw were the coffeee/tea/cocoa lines, with the gorgeous retro packaging.

Didn't I offer to pick up individuals from of the first 2 sets some time ago? Yeaaaaahhh... But at $4.50 each, plus shipping, is just too much for the ol' otter. They are pretty nifty though. Ah, well. Along those lines, has the new Tomy wave hit yet? J.

Nothing yet. It feels like about a month since I got the last wave, so they should show up within this week or next, i think.

Well thanks for the heads up about these Tomy lines, I did some looking and found they made a Kim Possible figure and I couldn't resist. I really loved that cartoon, and was disappointed that there was no good toyline in the US(guess it was considered "girly" ). Anyway got it this week: Now if only they'd make Ron Stoppable and Drakken!

bluesparrow, not sure if this counts as an "action figure" but when my girlfriend and I visted the US recently (only got back yesterday) we found a Kim figure.
We went to Kay Bee Toys at Florida Mall about 2 weeks ago, and at the back of the store on the end of one of the aisles was a bendy Kim Possible figure. It's about 8 or 9 inches tall, her arms and legs are just thick wires but her clothes cover it really well and she looks just fine and poses great. She has magnectic disks on her hands to she can cling to stuff (she guarded our room safe!).
Best bit is she was only $1! Ron was on the back of the box as well but they didn't have him in stock.

Sorry to bump up an old topic, but I've just started getting into the Disney Magical Collection and wanted a bit of advice so I thought Dare might be the guy to ask! I've had my eye on the line for a while and just made my first purchase (the new Jasmine) literally minutes ago on ebay and I'll probably get the Fantasia Mickey if it's still there in the morning. I was just wondering if there were any other good ways to get these figures rather than ebay? Oh and also what's a good price for these things? Jasmine was $6 plus shipping which I thought was pretty good. I'm mainly interested in the Aladdin/Beauty and the Beast/The Little Mermaid stuff. Thanks

I veen a fan of Mickey & company for decades, but I don't know squat about this stuff. I would love to get more information including where to find these nifty toys and what sort of stuff is available - like villians! Let's face it, Disney has come up with some of the greatest villians of all time...

For fans outside asia, I think you can try: Hobby Link Japan www.hlj.comOr goblin Toys http://www.goblinjp.com/The Otter's the guy who recommends these links, so I'm just passing them along. Check out his old ottertorial about the line here: http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/revi ... als5.shtmlI get mine from a local toy shop: http://www.dollzinc.com/Price wise, figures released on black cards had an SRP of 780 yen (US$7 ish). Recently, the line has moved to blue cards, with an SRP of 980 yen (US$9ish). There are some exceptions. Eg, Future Mickey has a higher price point. And of course, there are the usual rarities in this series that command higher secondary mkt prices.
