I don't know about anyone else, but I've lately become quite intrigued by the goings on over at Southern Island..a former toy e-tailers gone manufacturer.
That point alone I find quite interesting, but I'm actually looking forward to several of their upcoming properties.
They're developing figures based on several comic books published by newcomer Alias. The highest profile seems to be Victoria's Secret Service (a title, I admit, to which my first response was "ya gotta be kidding me!") and judging from the prototype shown at SDCC and on their site, is shaping up nicely.
They've got some anime stuff coming up, most notably Full Metal Alchemist and have an unannounced game license that should get announced later this month at GenCon (the SDCC of gaming conventions).
I've always had a soft spot for the small companies doing the obscure stuff so I wish these folks the best, and anxiously look forward to seeing what they do and where they go.
