Tomy owns!!! They probably recognize the Takara influence and fans and probably won't do anything to ruin it.

I'm not sure how long this has been in the works, but I'd say that it probably has something to do with Hasbro planning Star Wars Transformers for next year. Hasbro's had a long relationship with both companies -- Takara with Transformers and Combat/G.I.Joe and Tomy with Zoids and they distribute Hasbro's Star Wars stuff in Japan. One of the things I'm hoping to see will be some Star Wars based Microman. I mean, how cool would it be to get a Microman Boba Fett or Vader?
