Im just hoping the ships come out pretty cool, the Enterprise (the new one) doesnt look bad but Im curious to see the aft section, it just looks like it tapers off like the ENT D. The USS KELVIN looks pretty cool. Im hoping they make these ships in a good size like about 19 inches or so.
The playsets should be pretty interesting too, betcha they all light up.

Reading the descriptions over @ bbts.
This line is gonna tempt me. But I have tried collecting Star Trek twice and it didn't work.
But a bridge playset just sounds to cool. We haven't had one of those in a long time.

Id be happy if they just made them JOE-ish. More articulation and blending with other lines. The new GI JOE movie is going to provide quite the array of playsets and vehicles and I have stopped being interested in that line. I hope they do a shuttle or two-there is the standard shuttle and then there is the cadet shuttle, Ill take either, but prefer both.

Anyone else besides me think Superhero Squad-style Star Trek characters would be cool?

This has got to be one of the coolest toys ever made. Im hoping some genius at PLAYMATES is thinking what I am. Do this one ship and you can make as many variations as you can. Granted today we would have something that looks much better than tabs and slots but Im sure you can get the picture. Ever since FRANZ JOSEPH designed alternate starfleet vessels and put them in the starfleet technical manual, many fans the world over have wanted different ships. This could at least help on the starfleet side of the street. It totally works on the classic TOS ENTERPRISE as well.

I'd buy every one of those inclding the shuttles. And I'm just a casual Star Trek fan. I especially like the looks of the little Gorn

Thanks, I wouldnt doubt it if it goes the super squad route for the new TREK movie. If GIJOE and SW are hittin it then surely STAR TREK cant be too far behind.

Except that Hasbro produces both SW and GI JOE product. I wouldn't expect anything like that for Trek...

For those of you that want SHS-type figures: I believe that Diamond Select Toys is going to be making Minimates for the new movie. They haven't announced anything yet, however.
