UncleMarsellus you have got to post how you did that bridge!
Did you take pics along the way?
I was thinking about doing something like this but still flat.
And I, too, gave in to Wal-Mart's $5 price drop and finished out the bridge figs I needed.

Materials:
Foam board (black is probably best) in 2 thicknesses: thin and thick
Exacto knife
Scissors
Water based super glue
Bridge playset
Carefully cut out each section from the play mat. The back section is made of 3 pieces of board, I think, to get the necessary height. 2 thick, 1 thin. (Might've been 4 boards--2 thick, 2 thin--, I'll have to check).Trace the outline of the section on each board and cut out the sections carefully using an exacto knife. Glue them together. Glue it to a full thin board which will serve as the base and the ground floor. Repeat the process for the other sections which will will go down incrementally. It's not hard to figure out if you construct the back section correctly. Cut out slots for the chair and the plexi displays and that's it!
It's not difficult but still time consuming. Cutting out the pieces is a pain as you have to take your time and it still won't come out perfect. I had to redo pieces every now and then.

Thanks!
I'll have to go figure out what foam board is (I'm sure Hobby Lobby will be helpful), but the directions are very helpful.

Great news, a KELVIN will be made.
tretoy.com forum has a link to one of the official star trek sites. I posted the link here yesterday.

UncleMarsellus, thanks! That is truly impressive! So impressive, I am not sure I want the Bridge Playset at all, because I know mine will not look as nice. I may still pick up the last two figures I need for the set anyway today at Walmart, just in case...

Ah, thanks Jim. I've read that article several times and nowhere does it say the Kelvin WILL be made.
The writer of the article speculates at the end that we might see the Kelvin in Wave 3 since there was no vehicle in Wave 2...but that's it...
