Loving the clearance deals at Target. I picked up an extra bridge, transporter, and Enterprise for under $50!

I got the Enterprise and the Transporter Room! LOVE the Transporter but the Enterprise is perhaps the niftiest Star Trek Toy I've ever owned. Thank you for the sale, Target!

Well... this was in the press release that Playmates sent out today:
STAR TREK - Live Long and Prosper
With nearly 40 years of heritage in the STAR TREK franchise, Playmates will build on the excitement generated by the blockbuster STAR TREK movie directed by J.J. Abrams with an offering of new toys and collectibles based on the 2009 movie and the classic original series catalyst STAR TREK. In addition to new waves of 3.75â€

I guess that closes the door on 1:18 scale figures from Diamond Select...

Not necessarily. There is a lot of "license slicing" going on in the world. The press release only mentions 3.75" figures from Playmates, which could still leave 6"-18" figures for Diamond.

If this means that a classic TOS 3 3/4 line is on the way then I will be one happy camper! I've been waiting for something like this to match the Star Wars stuff since the days of Mego's ST: TMP line thirty years ago.
A 3 3/4 scale for TOS would rock. As in the case of SW, the possibilities for characters and playsets are endless!

Im just hoping to see a shuttle come into play somewhere. They need to ditch the pacaging and come up with something simple like GI JOE or the old PLAYMATES TREK lines, the amount of plastic used is incredible.

Has there been any news on the cancellation of the movie line? EE sent out notices to anyone who had pre-ordered the second wave, cancelling their orders because Playmates had cancelled the wave.
I'm not surprised but I haven't seen anything official anywhere.

Ran across this topic a good while back and it inspired me. Been working on a custom based on the one UncleMarsellus did. I know they're a little dark. When I have a little more time, I'll try to take some brighter pics.
