I'm also glad everyone liked the 4H interview because we had some more questions about the original line and interviewed the creator Mel Birnkrant for answers! We've got those answers and a couple never-before-seen photos (including a WIP of the new Astro-Nautilus) at IAT.

Excellent interview, Mel sounds like very fascinating guy. I had forgotten about the 80's Animax line until I checked out Mel's site! Didn't know he was behind it, but you can clearly see his influence in the designs for the Motor Mutant figures. Mel is quite a talent.

The Four Horsemen have received test shots of the first four figures in the line and have posted pics on their site (and there's some of Matt Doughty's Glyos blog, too) showing the figures AND the inter-connectivity with Glyos figures! Awesome stuff!

At least they'll only be coming out two at a time, from what I understand. That should make collecting the line a bit easier on the wallet.

Last year I swore it would be my last SDCC. It was just too crowded now for me to enjoy. But, DANG, I wish I was going this year now!
