Do you guys have Christmas trees that reflect your hobbies? For me it go the the point where I was tired of my wife's Disney ornaments clogging up my "dork" tree. So I bought a 2nd fake tree for all her Disney stuff. So every year we have the all Disney tree and the Super hero/Star Wars/pop culture tree.
I got my Dad in to collecting DC figures and it in turn got him in to buying DC ornaments for his tree.
I was just wondering if this has effected any one else of if it is just me.

I collect 'em, but they don't go on my tree.

The only ornaments I collect are Trek. Eventually I want one of those wire trees for outside because it reminds me of the Crystaline Entity from TNG.

I have a smattering of the DCU ones, some random Disney and Muppets, and whatnot. Nothing that is extensive enough to make a "theme" out of.
Every year, the rule in our house is that each family member picks one new ornament to add to the tree, so our tree has always been a mishmash of everything since I was just a wee lad.
I think I would really be bothered by a "theme" tree if it meant I didn't have my "everything and anything" tree too.

I pick several up each year and have a pretty hefty collection. The range from Super Heroes, classics Star Wars, Opus (those are American Greeting), the Disney films I worked on, and some Pixar stuff . Most are from Hallmark, some are from the old WB store and some are from America Greeting.

We haven't bought an ornament for years but this year we got 4 new ones just because I was getting tired of the same old thing on the tree every year. Had to get the new Godzilla ornament, we have the entire set and it was a moral imperative.

I try to get the DC ones but I'm not out there hunting down each and every ornament. I have the Superman comic ornament, the Batcave computer ornament and the single Flash ornament so far. My wife and I both pick out an ornament and buy each other one every year so we've only got a handful of things.

I used to collect these for the family tree until years and years of working retail made me hate Christmas. Now I don't even go in the Hallmark store and look at them.

we buy 8-10 each year and hang them on our tree. Is that considered "collecting"?
My wife buys Barbie; I get Star Trek, the Lionel Trains, super heroes, etc...

I don't buy them, but I receive them as gifts. I actually don't like them on the tree as I prefer more traditional ornaments. We have more ornaments than can fit on the tree (especially) as we inherit more family ornaments.

My wife and I get a Hallmark ornament every year. This year she picked out a Pittsburgh Steelers one and I got Snoopy and Woodstock in camping gear.

Hallmark made characters that Playmates never bothered to make, so I bought a bunch of them then I replaced their arms with those old playmates arms with a shoulder joint and an elbow joint.

Yep, I collect them. Selected stuff - the DC & Marvel heroes, some of the Disney Characters, A Christmas Story. We have a tree that is just Hallmark (and other) ornaments. Frankly my wife is a little Christmas-crazy We usually have at least 3 trees up and sometimes as many as 7. She usually puts them up just after Halloween. It's kinda like living in Macy's until they all come down in January...
