I got the Batman and Superman ornaments this year to go along with my Flash and the wife got Harley Quinn so we've got quite a nice comic book group going.

Looking forward to Green Lantern and Catwoman next year.

I pick up the Trek or Star Wars ships, but I don't put them on the tree either. I've got a goal to have a collection of properly scaled Sci-Fi space ships and when working with some of the larger ships, it's sometimes hard to find ones in the right scale to match the othe ships. Titanium and Micro Machines is the more reasonable size and the Hallmark ships help fill some of the holes.

Same thing goes with my Firefly ornament.

My daughter collects (ya it runs in the family. I am sooo proud) Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. She's got a cool jewelry tree that looks like a tree right from the movies. She hangs the figures from it.

Kinda pricey though, so we are fairly choosey.

Actually I don't think I have many Hallmark ornaments for the tree, I have plenty of other ornaments just not Hallmark.

If I was given the chance to get some (I.E. if they didn't cost so much), I would most probably choose anything to do with animation or snowmen.

I very much respect your goal go get as close to "in scale" as possible with your ships. Between micromachines, Action Fleet, Hallmark, import Models and mass market plastic toy ship models, it should be possible. If only someone would make that three foot star destroyer!
