So what're your favorite "So bad they're good" toylines? You know what I mean, back when Toys 'R' Us had an aisle 7c, and toy companies made bizarre in house lines that lasted for one maybe 2 seasons? The toylines that are so aweful, so cheesy, so lame that you just love em to death? For me 2 lines top the list: Food Fighters: Barnyard Commandos: Barnyard edges the rest though as my #1 "bad" toyline of all time, due to the fact that they have pretty much the WORST package art of any toyline I've ever seen. Often it seems that older toylines had package art that was miles better than the toys themselves. But not those badboys! Foodfighters had slick airbrushed glory on their packages, while the Barnyard Commando art looks like it was drawn by the town drunk on a bad hangover! SpyMagician

I remember that line. They never made the masked "bandit" version of Terri-Bull did they? I remember looking for it.

Man I used to love Battle Beasts, they all had a different element symbol that you had to rub to find out what team they went with.

Id have to argue that this is not a Bad toy line (over 125 figures, playsets and vehicles) and maybe some of the first ever exclusives and variants-- some of these go for over 250 bucks a piece on ebay (of course those are Japanese exclusives before the days of the WWW.. ). But animals that wear armor have weapons and beat each other by playing Rock, Paper Scissors- this could be one of the best toy lines ever.. How often are you going to get an attack armadillo figure.. The most recent Tomarts (I think) has a full collectors guide- with a checklist including the Japanese and american names--- and they did have names-- I never knew that as a kid.

I would also argue that Battle Beasts is not a "bad" toyline.
The series 2 Lazer Beasts (mainly released in Japan) are really cool and the magnifying chest jewel is even cooler than the rubsigns!
I always though Hasbro missed a great opportunity to re-release these in conjunction with Transformers Beast Wars.
They could have done it the way they did in the 80's withe G1 Transformers Decoy pack ins, but pack in a reissued Battle Beast with a Maximal or Predacon Rubsign/Lazer.
Great line!
Even today it could make a nice comeback as the small game based figures are rather popular (Clix, Attacktix, Marvel Dice). Just make the game a bit more complex than Stone-Paper-Scissors and you could have a winner!

I feel bad about this thread since it seems I must really like bad toys.
I actually have the whole line of food fighters and I am missing just one of the vehicles from the barnyard commandos line.-- Everytime I go to get rid of them I just cant allow myself to do it.
And I actually am trying to complete my COWboys of moomesa collection...
And I display them proudly next to my Marvel Legends, JLU and the like.

Stewbacca,
Don't even feel bad about it! I only call em "bad" because that's what most consider them to be!
I love campy 80's and 90's toys! COWboys of Moo Mesa, Food Fighters and Barnyard Commandos are 3 of my all time favorites!
Right now the old "bad" toyline I'm sorta into is the Mattel Attack of the Killer Tomatoes line! (got Beefsteak and Fangamato!)

I remember Attack of the Killer Tomatoes . Those figures were pretty enticing back in the day but I just never bought any.
As far as "so bad they're good" toy lines go I also have all of the Food fighters and may lack one or two in Barnyard Commandos as well as tons of other crap like GUTS and Tacky Stretchoid Warriors (who are now probably melted onto another toyline in the attic).
