It sure would be nice if these new 6 in. figures held up well against SOTA's SFII line. I've always wanted SF and MK to throw down, and at least I could do it on my toy shelf.

I may be interested in some of the more bizarre characters in the 3.75" scale, such as Goro and the Female Goro and the Tiger Goro (I am not into MK in any way I just like some of their designs).
Also some of the female characters would be cool as well.
I have no interest whatsoever in the ninja guys.

I remember I was at a another kid's birthday party once and I caused the birthday boy to have a nervous breakdown because I kept beating him. I was using Scorpion and was relentlessly harpooning and jump-kicking him. He accused me of being cheesy, but all you have to do to counter continous jumpkicks is duck, block, then uppercut (which I did to him whenever he tried to "turn the tables" on me).

Sorry J1 I meant to say I don't like MK, but I do like some of the character designs, the more strange looking ones and the females from said franchise.
Ok James like I said I have no interest in MK, so if that's what the ninja guys are called then yes that would be the ones I don't like.

I was at a TRU Express the other day and saw a multi-pack of all the different-colored ninja guys.
They looked pretty cheap (one of the black ninja's hands had fallen off in the package), and since I'm pretty unfamiliar with MK toys in general, I couldn't tell if they were new toys or re-releases of the old G.I. Joe stuff.

Was it maybe this? http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retailThe 6 inch figures I picked up at TRU months ago, but they seem to have gotten no more in stock since then - except for Johnny Cage who didn't come out with them. I've heard nothing the 4 inch figures. I'd like to get them, but it's pretty quiet. I'll have to see if I can find any info at all.

Found 6 inch Johnny Cage at TRU today. First time I'd seen him. It's been a long time since they had any MK stuff in stock.

BCYa wrote: Similar, in that it's a bunch of repaints of the same guy. But the ones I saw were definitely based on the Sub-Zero/Scorpion design. I wish the 4" line would hurry up as well. I'd like to determine which scale I like better before the 6" guys all disappear from the shelves.

Everytime I look for these at TRU I find:
A) "Lightning Effect" (or whatever its called) Raiden B) "I'm a douche" Johnny Cage (hate the re-design) OR C) Jack squat.
I don't think I've found a Scorpion or Subzero yet.
And I'd probably want the classic costumes anyways.

Hey, speak of the devil, the 4" figures are out now. I saw singles of Sub Zero and Scorpion today, as well as that Cyrax/Smoke/Sektor 3-pack BCYa linked to.

I was out killing time today and saw these at my TRU. Well, Sub Zero and Scorpion anyway. And they were BOGO 50%. So I got one of each.
Not sure if anybody here cares, but here are my thoughts on them so far.
Cons: Both have some paint issues right around the elbow. It looks like their gauntlets smudged over a bit. But it's not very noticeable. And every joint except the shoulders (and they are insanely tight) are a little loose, but not enough to prevent them from standing.
pros: They are definitely not just repaints like the big multipack listed above. Actually they appear to me to be completely different sculpts. Scorpion is especially nice. Nice shoulderpads and skull kneecaps with a pair of crossed swords attached to his back. And both come with accessories. Sub Zero has an ice sword and Scorpion has a sword and what I would guess would be the tip to his "get over here" spear. It has a nifty little loop that you could attach a line to if you want. And I can't speak for others, but mine "feel" pretty sturdy. Nothing at all falling off.
Overall, I don't think that they're too bad at all. Maybe priced a little too high. I'd recommend them though if you can get a them on sale.
