Okay, so this is a supplement to my other post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=23749...but you can only post one poll (that I know of) per thread. I'm very curious to see what the range is of what we spend annually on our hobby. This includes regular purchases, plus any larger purchases we make with tax refunds, work bonuses, saving up, etc. What is your average annual total in USD? -J

Do comics count? 'Cause I spend about $100 a month on comics alone.
As far as toys/toy related merchandise goes, it probably averages out to around $100-$150 a month.

Per year? Probably around 400-500 dollars. ThunderCats came out last year so I spent a little more than usual so I picked 500-750 per year. However I spend more on DVDs and Plushies by far.

I don't know that I could give you any sort of average purchases per year figure.
DC Direct is a line/company that I either buy a lot from or I buy nothing at all.
JLU prices have fluctuated wildly over the life span of the line, especially in the last year.
I've continued to pick up DCUC, Action League, and added Young Justice (4" only).
I can say that I have spent less than $100 annually on ebay with this past year dropping to just a few coins under $60.
Comics tend to continuing being my biggest dollar draw. In any given month I pick up roughly 10-15 GN/TPB/HC which means I spend close to $250 each month on those.
And none of this counts purchases for my son. Or DVDs. Or Video Games.
I know that at the end of the day, I can still buy groceries, pay my bills, and have funds left over for the random funness of life, so, as of right now, its in control (but still probably more than I want to admit to seeing in print).

4000+ without even thinking about it..
I mean last year I bought 2 cases of trading cards alone at over 500.00 a piece...
I think I dropped 800 alone in the week of the new star wars packaging resets last year--- and if you have the MOTUC subscription-- thats what-- like 500 something by itself as well...

I'm going to say the $100 to $250 range. It could be more than that. Yet its definitely closer to $250 than $500.
Since, atleast for now, Mattel has stopped making the Batman/DC lines I collected, I have had to go to other stuff. Hoping TDKR, Beware the Batman, and the upcoming evergreen line fixes that. I've been on a Star Trek kick lately so I have bought some of those. Power Rangers has become a bigger staple in my collecting. Picked up some random figures here and there - Doctor Who, stuff I find at closeout stores and on clearance.

Around $400-$600 but I have had bigger years recently, about 2009 I was closer to $4000, but I mellowed it a bit since then.
