Wasn't sure if this is the right board to post this since its a NEW line being produced, but it is based on the vintage 1979 ALIEN line Kenner never made: http://www.figures.com/forums/news/1603 ... uper7.htmlhttp://cooltoyreview.com/story/front/20 ... 147009.aspHow is it possible that this company Super7 can do Kenner's unproduced Alien line? Did Hasbro/Kenner have to give them the rights to do so? This just makes me wonder why other companies can't officially make other unproduced/cancelled vintage toys from the 80s if the original manufacturers aren't willing to, such as Yarna D'al Gargan and other proposed figures in the Kenner Star Wars line, or Wave 4 of Super Powers? Obviously there's legal issues there with who holds the rights and their willingness to allow another company to do it, but if this company can do the Kenner Alien line, then why not other Kenner lines? I'm sure there's enough of a collector market out there willing to buy new vintage-style Star Wars or Super Powers figures, even at a premium price higher than your average retail MSRP.

So, what wre we going to be looking at, price-wise? Probably something a little ridiculous.
They look super-cool though and it's a GREAT idea.

Let's hope these are a huge hit so Super 7 can release other 'lost' toys - like, say...the Super Powers 'Tower of Darkness' playset!

It's targeted at adult collectors, not moms/kids, so don't expect cheap retail pricing here.
On a related note, I'd have no problem paying $20 per figure for Wave 4 Super Powers figures on vintage style packaging.

Thought I would share that a long conversation has been going on in another forum and the owners of the actual prototypes say they were contacted and refused to share with Super7. These are reproductions made from pictures and scans not the real thing. http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1084040/

I have given myself a $15 price limit on 3 3/4 action figures and, even then, it's for rare or vintage. So, I'm out of they're above that for brand-spankin' new.

This is awesome news!!! I can't wait for these... They come out this year!
There a lot of customization possibilities with these too, like mix and matching with vintage SW figures.

Gah. I so wish I could afford that Early Bird package. That is truly awesome and a great deal including shipping and all. Beautiful job.
Between these figures and Zica's Six Million Dollar Man stuff it's a fantastic new nostalgia train!

These are all kinds of awesome. I'd be on them in a facehugger heartbeat, save for the little problem of not ever being able to attend SDCC. The exclusive itself destroys the completist in me.
Don't get me wrong...this is an SDCC exclusive worth it's asking price, as the Kenner Early Bird kit was cool back in the day(I had one, but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away) The modern Walmart Hasbro Early Bird kit was awesome as well. I don't care about the Angry Birds one. The ReAction Alien one would be a cool addition.
And the 'found' test shots? Man, who does that? That's coolness on a stick!

I am officially putting this out there....I'm a not able to get out to the SDCC, but I wanna own these exclusives. So if anyone can help a Duck out, let me know I really think that the ReAction Alien SDCC showing will be a toy collector highlight. I hope they continue with Aliens themed ReAction figures. In my opinion, they can skip every other Alien film. Even Prometheus. Not a fan.
