I recently had the priviledge of speaking with Len Gatdula, of Panache Place, about their upcoming Dino Warriors toyline. I am SO stoked for this line! 3-3/4" riders and cool-looking Dino beasts? It's a winner!

We've got an article about the line, the backstory for the characters and their world, as well as an exclusive look at some of the concept art that went into developing the line!

Check it all out here:

And spread the word! I'd love to see collectors get excited about this new line!

Jeff

P.S. Please excuse the obvious site pimping. ;-) Of course, Julius is always welcome to post links @ ROC.

Hmmm, well I'm certainly excited!

I love 3 3/4" figures, and miss the days of the 80's and early 90's when you had toylines that were just TOYLINES and not a licensing tie in.

I like the designs and will likely buy into the line when it hits.

My only concerns thus far are these:

1. The elbow articulation. I don't like that the elbow moves in the same plane as the shoulder. I understand that they wanted the 2 handed grip, but I would have prefered elbows that moved forward rather than sideways. Even better, swivel biceps.

2. The dinos have a rather goofy look. The pics I've seen have the eyes staring sort of up in to space giving them a funny stoned look. Maybe solid color eyes with no visible pupils or slit pupils would have made them look cartoony.

Still, these are minor gripes, and I hope the line does well and we see more original in house toy properties.

Any idea if they will be at SDCC? Would be nice to meet he folks behind the scenes and for them to mingle with and get a feel for any possible collector interest.

It seems to me this line is missing that... something.

While Dino Riders had added armor and such, these are just kind of there. I don't know, I need some sort of inovation,
