Found Meena Tills while rifling the pegs for Battle Droids at Target. The price scanner showed more of Meena's case in the stockroom. I took a shot and asked an associate in the action figure aisle if he'd either a) check the case in back for Ask Aak and Tarkin or b) bring the case out, I'll pull the two figures I want and peg the rest of the case myself. He chose Option A, took my Meena Tills, and vanished. Honestly, I was a little bummed because I feared he'd forget who I wanted from the case.

Five minutes pass. Then ten. At about the fifteen minute mark, I began to feel I'd been had. No sooner did I think ill of the associate when he returned with Tarkin, Ask Aak and my Meena Tills in hand. I thanked him to the point I think he found it embarassing and went home a happy geek.

I don't know if this guy broke the rules, isn't aware of them, or if the rule is only in certain areas or no areas at all, but it was one of the more positive associate/stockroom experiences I've ever had.

Tarkin, by the way, is a really nice figure; very happy with him.

Back in the 90's Target put out a corporate edict in response to Hot Wheels and action figure scalpers, that toys would not be set aside or individual customers given preferred treatement.

Now, that said, a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and the rules are not strickly enforced.

So, keep this associate a friend indeed...
