Over at http://www.comicon.com/pulse, there's a very cool article about the Corgi diecast Batmobiles. This paragraph in particular got my attention:
"The next wave of Batmobiles is coming out in February," Pearson continued. "There will be two 1:43 scale and one 1:24 scale cars. One of the 1:43 is the recent Teen Titans comic book version of the Batmobile that Robin and his friends went joyriding in and a 'turbo' Batmobile, which is just a really slick looking car. For April, I have another '60s Batmobile - a bigger car convertible and the Mothmobile that Killer Moth drove. Then, there's a lot more planned for next year. We have the license until 2007 and are hoping this will just be the first of many collaborations between ourselves and DC Comics. We'll keep making these cars as long as people want to buy them."
Lawsey. A Killer Moth Mothmobile? Who'd a thunk it?
Mike (I love this line. I hope Corgi keeps the license for years.)
Thatwas a great read. I love this line although I dont collect every single one. I have all that I want for now. The new ones I havent found yet and I would love that Robin. cant wait for the new ones an the more villain cars.
I got the 1950's Batmobile a couple of weeks ago and it is fantastic. The back opens up to reveal the labratory. This is the Batmobile I grew up with and is my favorite. These are some really wonderful toys.
