And what you said about "non-people" getting to you. So true.
Mostly with politics, I literally avoid even reading certain posts, knowing my (conservative) views would get me drawn into some ugly stuff that would upset me far more than it should.
Like the person who parks next to me in my apt complex. The car has a bunch of wiseass political bumper stickers. They offend me, not because of the ideology, but because they are the "I don't follow politics or watch the news ever, but I like broadcasting snide political remarks" variety.
As you say a non person, not worth my time. But it bugs, yes it does.
On the other hand, as you say, you can meet really good folks.
Heck, you and I first started corresponding after some garbled attempt at humor about Transformers Beast Machines eh?
But instead of degenerating into name calling and "hide behind internet anonymity" insults, we hashed it out intelligently.
And look where we are now!
