There's an interview up at LordoftheRingsGuide.com right now indicating NECA is looking at a price of $80 and a production run of 5,000 for the Balrog. If the market bears it, the run may be larger.
The packaging will be no-frills and there will be limited advertising (mostly word-of-mouth through sites such as this) to allow as much of the budget to go into the figure itself, which will possibly include several LEDs for illumination from within.
