OMG the Iron Spider and Spider-Man gimmicks... why... why.... The FOX animated series did well for five years without gimmicks to sell toys... -ugh-

You guys don't seem to like much of anything lately. I'll give it a shot.

Those were cartoons! The Avengers cartoon is pretty rocking and I like the younger Superhero Squad because A) it's cute and B) they did a Thanos/ Infinity Gauntlet episode but a lot that Marvel churns out isn't so great now-a-days.

Late 70's was Space ______ 80's - was the ______ (new action figure line) 90s was Baby _______ 2000 was Extreme _______ 2010 Short Attention Span _________ (insert beloved favorites and make them easy for the stupid kids to understand)

Although if its the ultimate universe-- Maybe we'll get to see Kitty Pryde a lot more..
And as cheesy as the chibi crap is-- (which is what kept Teen Titans from being in the top 10 SH cartoons) -- I would take the worst SH animated show ever-- over any single episode of that reality crap that fills the TV everyday...

I actually love the new Looney Tunes show. I think it's hilarious. I have it on series record.

It's the first one I've watched since the orginals in the 70's. You should watch an episode, you might be surprised. Maybe Im being a little hard on it (same with Looney Tunes)- since I actually havent seen it yet (i just figured it was similar to all those horrible DVD movies they havent stopped releasing)-- but like I said-- since I have no live TV- I have to commit actual money to watching it-- and the flash looking animation style turns me off from spending money on it (there was a 3 discs for 15. for the looney tunes released recently as well) .. I mean Ive heard from some people that the new Looney Tunes series was worse than Loonatics-- and that show was god awful-- (one of the few cartoons I actually resold because it was so bad (Braniac Attacks, All Star Superman and Batman:Gotham Knights- being the others..) Im just more angry that they usually have to change everything about the character (especially the look) each new incarnation-- Im sure they could updated some of the better older cartoons with new animation (or just extend the series)-- Pirates of Dark Water -neverfound the remaining treasures, You could do a followup with Gargoyles- or just keep doing new Darkwing Duck Episodes or etc... It worked for the Jetsons and the like (well except for Orbity) why not some of the others..

I saw the new series today and loved it. My youngest son can't stop talking about it. I foresee some Spider-man toy purchases in the very near future. I really liked the new take on the show, and I think kids will love it.

Ugh. It had it's moments and it gets points for digging deep into the MU roster (Trapster? ). But man, it's just so . . . NOT what I want in a Spider-man show. I could live with the limited anime influences in Teen Titans, but this is too much. I'll be fast forwarding to the fight scenes and probably watch the Iron Man episodes, but that's it. What a disappointment.

This show is definitely for kids. It's not my favorite show by far, but my son loves it and that's what's most important. Remember earlier I said that I foresee some Spiderman toy purchases for my son in the not too distant future? Well, that's already come to fruition. After watching today's show, he put his bid in for a Spidey themed birthday, replete with "toys that look the animation from the show". His birthday's not until September.

You should watch an episode, you might be surprised. All right I watched it-- (although to be honest I was confusing this show with that previous one Scooby and Shaggy get a Clue show-- which is god awful.) And I liked it-- thanks (now I dropped another 40.00 on cartoon show DVDs, as I did get hooked)-- any show that puts in nods to the older cartoons (with subtle guest appearance from the likes of Don Knotts and teenage Pebbles and BamBam) gets my vote.. Although I really hate Mindy Cohn as the voice of Velma-- I hated her on Facts of Life- and hate her voice just as much now...

I guess I'm the only one still watching Ultimate Spidey as well. I really liked this week's episode with Venom. Their take on him is a bit different than the 616 version and I like it. I love the awkward dynamic of the team with Power Man, Iron Fist, White Tiger and Nova. Nova is a real a-hole. But it works.
