The more I hear and see about this show the more I think I'm going to like it. 150 characters in the first 18 episodes is pretty ridiculous. Can't wait to try and catch everyone.

Thanks Mo! That Newsarama piece has tons of useful info in it. I guess with all the characters they're putting in the series, they don't have time to develop everyone. It would've been nice to see Captain Atom fleshed out a bit though. It would've been awesome to sit in on that panel at NYCC.

I know! 150 characters in only 18 episodes sounds crazy. I haven't been this excited about a new cartoon since JLU premiered!

I'm very excited for this series too...no embargoes on any characters? That's beautiful.

I was very concerned over a couple of things, and thought it was ridiculous that they introduced a new Aqualad just to add diversity. Not because it wasn't needed but because there were several other existing characters they could have used.
Now though I'm actually very excited. The video promo they showed looks fantastic, and all the comments I've seen about the series make me hopeful. Can't wait for the premiere!

One thing I don't really understand about the new Aqualad is that they've said a few times now that this is a young DC Universe and that's why they went with Dick and Wally as Robin and Kid Flash so if that's the case....wouldn't this new Aqualad not exist? I guess it's not a perfect continuity but it's a little weird to see a brand new character in a young DC Universe.

Well, maybe since Garth exists and is Aqualad's best friend, he'll go straight to being Tempest and bypass the Aqualad identity altogether?

That would be a cool way to go. I'm starting to warm up to the new Aqualad, I just wish Garth wasn't currently dead in the main DCU.

Yea I could see that, but isn't Garth roughly the same age as Dick and Wally? I know I'm being picky but I'd like to see where they're going with some of these characters.

This is DC world 16 (in the grand scheme of the 52-niverse) so there are going to be some major discrepancies to go along with the similarities.
Its all in-continuity, just not the one we are used to.

I forgot they said it was Earth-16. I guess that's an easy way to explain the appearance of this Aqualad. Still curious about Garth and how he plays into all of this.
I wish they weren't showing the premier so far ahead of the rest of the series starting though.

I don't get that either. Why the gap between the November 26th premiere, and the actual series start in January 2011?
