How many comic book characters die, with a body, and come back? And if there is no body, they almost always come back. Granted there is no series to bring him back in, but as a general rule for CB characters, if there is no body, they will eventually be brought back. CCC.

My point is that because the series is over that there is no way for him to come back so in terms of both the narrative AND the audience viewpoint he is dead for good.

Then you apply Murphy's Law. If you make it an absolute, someone will come along to prove you wrong just because they can. Of course most of us won't mind that because odds are it will mean more YJ, so by all means make it an absolute. CCC.

No, what it will mean is Weisman stringing along his deluded fans on his website with the promise of the show returning when it never will.
Speaking of the death, why did they kill off Wally anyways? What was the point of that? Even worse, it wasn't some heroic sacrifice, it was completely stupid and unnecessary. Didn't Luthor tell Flash and Impulse that they'd need to match their speeds precisely and not slow down for anything? Why on EARTH would Wally try to horn in on what they were doing if he KNEW he couldn't match their speed? In fact, them having to slow down to try and save him jeopardized the mission and they nearly failed because of that. If they were going to kill him off they could have made his death less pointless and him seem like a hero rather than a cretin.

I concur Fone Bone it felt empty and pointless. It was so forced, also why not end the show with the teens working side by side with the Justice League honestly there was NO reason to do the Darksied thing other ten to leave it on a cliffnager. This show had some awesome episodes but the overall story arc was weak, not well planned and felt very forced in a lot of spots.....

I think it was a remnant of a storyline that was set up for Season 3 (back when we all thought it was still a possibility). Wally was, early in his career, slower than Barry. But, as he came into his own and bounced off the Speed Force a few times, he became faster and more in control than any other Flash.
I didn't see his "death" as pointless or as a waste, I saw it as a nod to comic continuity and a thread for a future storyline (whether it happens or not is irrelevant really). Not everyone needs every story neatly wrapped up and "finished" in a tidy little package. Some of us enjoy a story that is left unfinished and "ends" in a way that feels more like life .... just sayin'

Awesome and tragic (for the viewers) ep... Glad the whole reach invasion is over. Started feeling dragged out. And the heroes finally won!! It was great. Really hoped we'd see Ed Dorado become El Dorado Wally is in the speed force. So glad they showed that G. Gordon Godfrey is an Apocolyptan spy. That was an even better reveal than Darkside at the end. I want to say some very disparaging words at Cartoon Network for cancelling this show. The only silver lining is that maybe Beware the Batman will premier soon.

The only problem with that, Dr. is that Greg said that there is no Speedforce on Earth-16. So he's simply dead.

Snapper Carr. He helped the League in the early days (in the comic book, anyway). Fun fact: He's voiced by Greg himself!

Thanks for the answer Shellhead.
I wonder why there wasn't a Mr. Terrific up in the Watch tower.

Don't take this question the wrong way but why were you reading this thread in the first place if you weren't caught up? I didn't use spoiler boxes because the episode had already rerun twice and I figured that anyone who didn't WANT to be spoiled would stay out of the thread until after they saw the last episode.
