Well I liked Batman and Batman Returns... they were all pre-Modern Burton. While those films did indeed have their problems, they weren't as bad as what followed them and he also didn't use them as stepping stones for his friends. He simply made two movies in that case without being his now over the top.
Starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Grace Moretz and Gulliver McGrath, the big screen adaptation will hit theaters on May 11. Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the script.

Just watched those trailers and all I can say is that I swear I lost a duel to the pain. I mean seriously? This looks to be more of the same stupidity that Land of the Lost was cobbled into. I will never understand the mentality to take something (no matter how hokey or campy) that was treated as serious and turn it into a "comedy". Sure the original may not be all that well written, acted, or produced but that is no reason to refuse to show it even a modicum of respect. Take Star Trek for example. Despite my vehement hatred for the Abrams abomination, at least it was treated seriously instead of going the "comedy" route which could have easily been done. After Alice in Wonderland and now what this looks like, I wish Burton and Depp would just go away. Although I will say that first Batman is still the best live action Batman ever made despite it's flaws.
