First Official Look at John Cusack in The Raven

Relativity Media has provided us with a first official look at John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe in The Raven, coming to theaters on March 9, 2012.

In the gritty thriller, Edgar Allen Poe joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a mad serial killer who's using Poe's own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. Directed by James McTeigue (V For Vendetta), the film also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, The Raven will have a panel in Hall H on Friday, July 22 at 11:30am. Cusack, Evans, Eve and McTeigue are expected to be present.

Relativity Pushes Back The Raven and House at the End of the Street

Relativity Media has made two big release date changes today.

The Raven was scheduled to go up against John Carter on March 9th, but the James McTeigue-directed thriller will now open in theaters on April 27th. Starring John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, the film faces The Five-Year Engagement and Safe on the new date.

Relativity also pushed back the Jennifer Lawrence-starrer House at the End of the Street from April 20th to September 21st. The horror thriller will go up against Dredd and Hotel Transylvania on the new release date.

Relativity's Haywire just opened last Friday and their next film, Act of Valor, opens on February 24th.

Entertainment Weekly has debuted this new poster for Relativity Media's The Raven, which was moved back from March 9th to April 27th yesterday. Directed by James McTeigue, the thriller stars John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen .

Relativity Media has provided us with three exclusive photos from The Raven.

The pics are heavy on stars John Cusack and Luke Evans. The two play Edgar Allan Poe and Detective Fields, respectively, who team up to track a killer inspired by the stories of Poe. James McTeigue (V For Vendetta) directs from a script by Ben Livingston.

The Raven opens in theaters April 27th. Head inside for a special look at this thriller!

Relativity Media has released the latest video promo for The Raven, opening April 27th, which mixes film footage with prose from the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

In the exclusive "murderous vision" spot, the film's star - John Cusack - is heard reciting a sample from The Mystery of Marie Roget (a sequel to The Murders in the Rue Morgue).

In The Raven, a madman begins committing horrific murders inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's works. A young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) joins forces with Poe (Cusack) to stop him from making his stories a reality. Alice Eve and Brendan Gleeson co-star.

V for Vendetta's James McTeigue directs.
