That was a jarring start compared to last season. It took me a little bit to figure out what was going on but that was a great episode.

Holy CRAP. Intense, scary, intriguing, and everything I hoped for. Can't see them keeping up this pace either, but I'll love seeing them try. Wow.

The Walking Dead Breaks Cable Record with Premiere

by SuperHeroHype

October 15, 2012

Last night saw the return of the ever popular The Walking Dead on AMC and it's already broken a cable record. From the press release:

The biggest show of the fall season among Adults 18-49 is on AMC. Last night, AMC premiered season three of "The Walking Dead" and outdelivered cable and broadcast hits including "Hatfields & McCoys," "Jersey Shore," "Modern Family," "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Voice."

The 9pm ET premiere garnered 10.9 million viewers and a 7.4 HH rating making it the highest rated episode in series history, and growing more than 50% over last season's premiere. The season 3 premiere now reigns as the biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history among all viewers. "The Walking Dead" encored at 10pm with 3.5 million viewers and midnight with 850,000 viewers delivering 15.2 million viewers for the night.

In an uncertain world, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors must not only fight the dead, but also face a whole new fear: the living.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, The Walking Dead stars Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, IronE Singleton, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey and Danai Gurira. The series is executive produced by Glen Mazzara, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert with Greg Nicotero as co-executive producer.

Dish sucks. Join the winning team . . .

But seriously, AMC's had warnings on the screen about Dish dropping them for almost a month.

I guess you don't watch Breaking Bad, huh?

Directv is fantastic. I'm loving it so far.

And not getting to see comic book men is probably a good thing haha.

While I agree it's hardly great TV, I do watch Comic Book men. I enjoy the conversations with Kevin Smith.

Toy Hunter is a lot more interesting to me, though.

Man, Rick's going Dark Side a lot sooner in the show than he did in the comic.

Man, I love this show!

Sneak Peek at The Walking Dead Season 3, Episode 4

by ShockTillYouDrop

October 29, 2012

AMC has released the first clip from episode 4 of The Walking Dead season 3, entitled "Killer Within." In this chapter, the group is severed and lives are put in jeopardy. In Woodbury, Merle has a request for the Governor. As for the clip, the gang pokes fun at Glenn and Maggie for spending too much time in the guard tower. Look for the new episode to air next Sunday.

Good gravy the governor was well cast. That guy is doing a fantastic job so far portraying that psycho, and it's only getting started.
