Saw this today. Definitely one of the better ones (I'd probably put it at #2). The first third and last third are solid. The middle . . . well, it gets a bit silly (and that's saying something for an RE film). They did do one thing to tick me off, though.
Chris, his sister, and Kmart pretty much disappear without explanation at the very beginning. Hopefully they'll turn up for the big finale.
You can tell they had more money to spend and some of the fight scenes were pretty inspired (I especially liked the final fight). If you like the RE movies (and let's face it, we're not exactly talking about masterpieces of cinema ), you'll enjoy yourself.
And the way it ends . . . Yeah, the end of the series is nigh.
